Magic Hotel
Hi everyone, back from our stay in Norway we share with you our opinion about the hotel Magic Hotel in Bergen.
We didn’t plan to stay a night at the hotel, but if you read the full article on our road trip in Norway you know we had a little unexpected trip to Troltunga. So we decided to get closer to Bergen and spend our last night there.
The Magic Hotel is located about 10 minutes from the center of Bergen. The hotel is fairly easy to get to. If you have a car, you will find a car park in front of the entrance so you can check in and unload your bags. Be careful, this one is limited to 30 minutes of parking!
A parking in the basement with reserved spaces in the hotel are available. Parking is not included in the price of the room, you will have to pay a few euros to park there.
Beware, the Magic Hotel offers a flat rate but is not always worth the cost and this was our case.
The package of the Magic Hotel is about 16 euros per night while the parking rate in the basement is 2 euros.
We arrived around 11pm but left at 4am. So it was more advantageous for us to pay directly to the car park or 10 euros.
From the moment we arrived, we were very well received. And surprise, the receptionist spoke a little in French. The time to check out the formalities and let’s go to the room.
It’s on the 4th floor that we spend the night. And to get there, we went through a corridor rather design in terms of decoration. Upon entering the room, we see that the design was thoughtful, neat and very modern.
The bedroom consists of a bathroom on the left entering with a toilet. Follow the night corner with a double bed facing a piece of furniture and a TV. Television that will remain extinct;)
A design furniture will allow you to store your belongings in case of consecutive nights. Obviously, we did not need it on the contrary all ready to leave as soon as possible.
The room is very clean with a view of the mountain. Finally, for the room we had. Some have views of the other hotel building or the city. We were lucky that the hotel offers such a view !
You will have understood it arrived late, returned early, we will not be able to give you information about the restoration. The breakfast was included in the room rate but is only served from 6.30am.
Conclusion: we would recommend this hotel. It’s not too far from the center of Bergen, its design is modern and well maintained. No parking problems thanks to the parking available to guests. Price level, count a hundred euros sometimes a little less … It’s up to you to check on the different websites offering nights at the hotel.
